My Biography:
Hello! My name is Ms. Yvett Pruitt a returning student at Troy University Montgomery Campus. I recieved my Associates in Science of General Education August 27, 2009, and am now directing my study towards my Masters in Counseling here at Troy. I am an active member of the Hutchinson Missionary Baptist Church located in Montgomery, Alabama and a coordinator for the organization SOS, Sisters of the Struggle, a self-formed group of individuals who assist underprivileged people through directional intervention and instruction for preparation of jobs. My goal is to teach longlasting skills to individuals, from what I have learned. I am the proud mother of a young lady who will soon be graduating from private school and a soon to be blessed grandmother. I plan to one day open my own practice in Psychology working with mentally disadvantaged clients. I am a proud member of the Eastern Star Organization and a Certified Specialist in Youth Educating and Awareness. I took this class because as a striving Psychologist/ Educator, “I feel it will sharpen my ability on family, society and global awareness of child corrective issues and understanding for better administration towards work in present residential facilities designed to serve children, adolescents or adults. This class will broaden my horizon and give me an open view on correcting dysfuntional youth's and their birth development which is a part of today's society, and my goal to help make them become better persons.
