Uphold confidentiality in all aspects of the role.Supervise the daily operations of the Substance Testing Program (STP).Ensure adherence to regulations and guidelines from government and regulatory bodies, including DOT, FMCSA, DMV, CHP, and FCRA.Review, create, and update STP procedures to align with state and federal regulations, as well as company policies.Optimize staff workflows to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.Engage with staff to communicate departmental and company objectives, provide training, and address questions, troubleshooting, and suggestions.Review and approve staff time-off requests and timecards, escalating issues to the STP Associate Manager as needed.Identify opportunities for customer and staff training, ensuring the development and implementation of relevant training materials.Conduct one-on-one meetings with staff to address concerns, gather feedback, and create personalized growth and development plans.Conduct random drug and alcohol testing selections in compliance with current DOT-FMCSA regulations and company policies.Oversee follow-up testing schedules and requirements, ensuring alignment with DOT-FMCSA regulations.Compile and review semi-annual and annual consortium Management Information System (MIS) reports to ensure compliance with DOT-FMCSA regulations.Finalize STP-specific billing items processed by the STP Coordinator and approve them for payment.Assist employers during DOT audits.Provide the STP Associate Manager with regular updates on department status, including areas of concern, achievements, and staff performance.Oversee and contribute to various projects as requested by the STP Associate Manager.
Ability to absorb and interpret complex information, such as regulations and contract language, and translate it into simple, understandable terms.Precision and accuracy in all tasks are essential.Comfortable adjusting quickly to new and high-priority tasks as they arise.Capable of managing tasks effectively to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth departmental operations.Demonstrates initiative by actively seeking additional information and guidance when necessary.Skilled in managing time and organizing tasks effectively.Strong verbal and written communication abilities, coupled with interpersonal, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Demonstrates leadership while fostering a cooperative team environment.Familiarity with the responsibilities of a Consortium/Third Party Administrator is preferred.Understanding of the Motion Picture and Television Industry is an asset.
