Intern The Otsuka Way - Applied Innovation Internship

Otsuka's Internship Program, Intern the Otsuka Way (InTOW) offers meaningful hands on project experiences that impact patient's lives while providing students an opportunity to grow both personally and professionally. The internship program takes a holistic approach to education, in that students acquire both practical, applicable skills, but also gain additional experience in business and innovation as it relates to the pharmaceutical industry and the student's area of study. Students will have the opportunity to learn to navigate the complex matrix and team environment at a global pharmaceutical company, gain the fundamental skills and knowledge in the industry and will also engage in valuable, practical job experience through the internship experience.

The Applied Innovation and Process Improvement (AIPI) AIPI takes a focused approach to innovation and process improvement by identifying clear deliverables and prioritizing them based on the value to Otsuka. A significant focus is on speeding up the end to end clinical trial process by decreasing clinical trial timelines while maintaining or increasing quality. AIPI invests its time in projects that are expected to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the clinical trials with a patient centric lens.
What Your Background Should Look Like:
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate level program (Master's or PhD) at an accredited university
Completed at least two years of school if attending a four-year university OR completed at least one year of school at a two-year university
Experience using Microsoft Office, such as PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
Demonstrates behaviors aligned with the Otsuka Corporate Brand including Perseverance, Unconventional Thinking, and Humility
Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrate ability to think creatively to solve complex problems
Exhibits eagerness to learn and ability to learn quickly
Ability to make effective decisions independently and to work in a fast-paced matrix environment with minimal supervision
Ability to communicate effectively in both verbal, written, and public engagements in speaking with key opinion leaders, training sales, and educating customers regarding reimbursement strategy and updates
Ability to organize and manage multiple projects in executing on key deliverables within required timeframes.
