In this role you will be responsible for:
Hands-on Supervision of a team of approximately 25 employees with (3) Team Leads on three shifts.
Managing SMT Operators and training on basic operation of equipment, including screen printer, SPI machine, SMT machine, reflow oven and AOI machine
Scheduling and on time completion of work including NPI release – work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Continuous Improvement team to develop and optimize overall manufacturing process including Product yield and throughput aspects.
Acting as liaison between Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing with respect to new product launch efforts. Knowledge and experience with DFM techniques to help facilitate manufacturability of PCBAs and Assemblies.
Using your knowledge and experience with component engineering aspects as it relates to Part specifications, validation through sample procurement and verification.
Monitoring productivity (CPH) and product yields daily and work with operations to take corrective actions when trends indicate equipment and/or process issues.
Calibration and maintenance of SMT equipment (Juki preferred)
Qualifications:
SMT engineer/supervisor with 5 years of experience in a mid to high volume SMT manufacturing environment is required.
Strong SMT NPI experience with Low to Mid volume and High mix PCBAs with High density of fine pitch components – BGA, LGA, QFN, 0201 components, etc.
Experience with IPC-A-610 standard, SPC techniques and Lean practices
High energy and action oriented
Excellent communication skills and ability to present ideas, improvement plans, and data is a must.
Bachelors (BS) in Engineering or Manufacturing is preferred or acceptable previous experience
5 years of with SMT printed circuit board assembly and BGA technology.
