The Systems Operations Sr Engineer will provide production support and maintenance of applications within the Strategic Services and Advanced Technology group. The position is responsible for providing Platform Management services including Incident Management, Problem Management, Root Cause Analysis, Change/Release Management, and Vulnerability Management. Troubleshooting complex system and/or application issues, as well as deploying code into production environments within the change-management guidelines. This role will be working closely with various business functions and application development teams to ensure the stability of the production environment and resolve any critical production issues. The position requires technical problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate progress clearly. The candidate is expected to own and resolve high impact issues by proactively assessing the application health.
Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following: actively participates in the development of technical support strategies and plans; acts as an internal consultant regarding use of tools and process re-engineering to improve delivery, support and governance process execution; provides complex technical expertise for technical issues and initiatives related to large-scale applications, systems, databases and/or other technical products and services; leads support projects and migrations from development to production, upgrades, installations and/or configurations; identifies and drives resolution of complex network, hardware and software issues; develops and negotiates workarounds; initiates longer-term design solutions or projects; assures quality, security and compliance requirements are met for supported areas; oversees creation of or updates to and testing of the business continuation plan; provides direction or guidance to less experienced staff. Ensure regulatory and Risk requirements are compliant by ensuring software vulnerabilities are re-mediated and SSL certificates management. Support internal customers with the development of their own internal project plan, including the identification of key setup and configuration tasks, scope considerations, timeline and scheduling, as well as resource requirements. Perform and lead Disaster Recovery Tests.
