About KIPP Jacksonville SchoolsKIPP Jacksonville Schools is dedicated to preparing students in our city’s educationally underserved communities with the knowledge, skills, habits, and character for success in college and life. Please apply if you wish to be considered for a Lead Teacher position in one of the following areas: + English (general English Language Arts)+ Social Studies (history, Civics, etc.)+ Math (general math, Algebra I, etc.)+ Science (general science)There are four “home room” teachers on each grade level who are each responsible for teaching a core subject. (For example, there are four teachers on the 8th grade team; each teaches every student on that grade level for their assigned subject.)
Please note within the application what grade levels and/or subject area you prefer. Relevant certification should also be indicated in the appropriate sections of the application. Teachers are assigned one grade level/subject for core areas and are responsible for creating a positive environment for their students, implementing curriculum, assessing students, building relationships with our families, collaborating with their team and other duties as assigned. Full teacher responsibilities are ultimately outlined by their School Leader.All teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Schools work from 7:30 a.m.-5:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Student hours are typically from 8:00 a.m.-4:30 p.m., although times vary by school.
