Assistant Professor of Neuroscience
The Department of Psychology at Lebanon Valley College invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor of Neuroscience position starting August 2018. Instructional responsibilities will involve teaching undergraduate courses in both the Neuroscience and Psychology majors. Applicants should have a strong commitment to student engagement and quality teaching as a primary focus across a normal instructional load of 12 credits per semester, and must be able to balance that with participation in faculty governance, service to the College, and an ability to supervise undergraduate research projects. Preference will be given to candidates who have earned a Ph.D. prior to the start date.
The Departmentís approach to education is framed around facilitating studentsí growth as evidence-based reasoners built on developing skills to (1) acquire knowledge, (2) assemble information to form conclusions, (3) analyze data, (4) apply what theyíve learned to the real world, and (5) articulate their insights in oral and written form.

Lebanon Valley College in Annville, Pa., welcomes 1,600 full-time undergraduates studying more than 30 majors, as well as self-designed majors. Founded in 1866, LVC has graduate programs in athletic training, business, music education, physical therapy, and science education. Annville is 15 minutes east of Hershey and 35 minutes east of Harrisburg; Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and Baltimore are within two hours.
