Job Description

Global Payment and Platform Product’s provides the core foundation to enable innovation within Visa.  Visa's Post Purchase Platform products are a key component in this equation helping to simplify payment operations for our customers by building trust and deploying innovative customer centric solutions. The Post Purchase environment is supported through the Visa Resolve Online (VROL) platform which facilitates Visa’s global network dispute process for all issuers, acquirers and processors. In addition, the VROL platform delivers several value-add products that improve the user experience with automation, enriched data and quicker resolution. 

 

We are looking for leaders who are passionate about innovating and delivering truly differentiated solutions based on fluctuating market needs. Successful execution of this role will be achieved through a combination of leadership, payments and delivery knowledge, communication and applied strategy in exception resolution. Exception resolution at Visa is currently comprised of the over-arching platform Visa Resolve Online (VROL) that supports Visa’s core dispute process that is mandated for all Issuers, Acquirers and processors. In addition, VROL delivers several value add products that improve the user experience with automation, enriched data and quicker resolution, such as Visa Risk-based Auto Dispute (VRAD), Order Insight (OI), Order Insight digital and Rapid Dispute Resolution (RDR). The Product Manager will work with stakeholders across all Visa Regions to implement, operate, improve and expand exception-processing solutions. In addition, this role will contribute to the overall strategic vision, planning and operation of Exception Resolution business. This role will interact heavily cross functionally so organizational savvy and interpersonal skills are critical. Interfacing across all regions and with both global and market specific product groups, financial institutions, sales, merchant sales, client consulting, operations, technology, risk, analytics, marketing and corporate communications, legal, corporate strategy, interchange/pricing and finance to build, launch and support new and existing products. Visa is looking for individual that pays attention to detail, with a proven track record of success in fast-paced environments with demanding timelines, an ability to correlate data and trends to business drivers, someone who can also think big and contribute to strategic planning, thought management and lead executive messaging.

 

Successful candidates will take ownership of planning including revenue outlook, product management, reporting and communications consistent with our product strategy, drive to increase usage / overall value and ultimately build Visa brand loyalty.  This position will require travel to client sites and forums around the globe.

 

Essential Functions

Key responsibility working with internal and external stakeholders to identify and develop solutions to improve or expand our exception resolution process/platform.

  • Responsible for managing projects / project teams and developing plans and schedules to drive deliverables to on time and on budget delivery, including:
  • Business / strategy
  • New value add requirements
  • Market or product specific requirements
  • Marketing, communication and training plan
  • Sales plan
  • Implementation plan
  • Product development
  • Pricing and billing

 

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
- 12 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD


Preferred Qualifications
- 15-18 years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or
- 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD or PhD)
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent problem solving skills with a strong focus on serving clients
- Demonstrated thought leadership and the aptitude to think creatively and identify new ways to innovate and differentiate with evidence of tangible business results
- Passionate about what you do and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments working for the industry leader
- Strong team player, self-motivated and the ability to work independently at coordinating cross functional activities, data collection, buy-in and strong decision making abilities to elevate issues at critical junctures appropriately
- Outstanding executive communication skills to develop presentations, associated summaries, and back up materials for program reporting.
- Expert skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint are required
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation necessary

- Strong sense of urgency and experience driving to successful commercialization

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
