Job Description
Are you an experienced, self-motivated Risk professional with strong stakeholder engagement experience? Are you keen to learn about a new business, but still hold some professional skepticism?

The Risk Consultant will provide support to the North America region in achieving the set strategic objectives and goals. This will be achieved via the successful execution and embedding of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, and through challenging risk owners to drive improved business performance. Additionally, the Risk Consultant will provide support to the regional Risk Manager in the coaching, developing, and mentoring of junior members of the Risk team. The Risk Consultant will additionally forge good working relationships across the wider supporting functions (Business Integrity and Assurance) so that a cohesive and joined up approach is maintained for business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Accountable for all matters relating to risk arising from North America
• Support and deliver the on-going enhancement and delivery of Sage’s risk management framework, including the maintenance of those policies and methods that underpins the framework
• Provide stakeholder engagement to challenge and influence, in an effort to nurture a strong risk-based decision-making culture and support successful delivery of Sage’s risk management priorities
• Offer hands-on risk assistance in the form of guidance, support, and challenge to North America business units
• Support and challenge the ongoing management of regional assessments of principal risks, risks of greatest concern and functional risk registers, in addition to maintaining accurate risk information to support the issuing of risk dashboard reporting
• Support and deliver the timely production of high-quality data-driven risk reports for the Quarterly Regional Risk Committee and ExCo Global Risk Committee as required
What You Must Have:
• Minimum 3+ years’ risk management experience
• Self-starter, able to work on own initiative and as part of a distributed global team.
• Strong planning and organizational skills and ability to deliver to deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to interface with and confidently challenge all levels of management within the company
• Commitment to infrequent business travel within, and outside of the United States
What We Would Like for You To Have:
• Certifications in Risk Management or related discipline (i.e. RIMS-CRMP, CMIRM, CBCP etc.)
• Experience working in a global, matrixed organization, within distributed teams.
• Knowledge of and experience in the technology industry, preferably the software industry.
• Previous experience with a Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) tool.
