WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
In your role as a Kellogg Sales Representative, you will be part of our success by:
•Selling, negotiating, and executing business plans through fact-based selling techniques to achieve win-win results
•Identifying selling opportunities to grow Kellogg Sales during each store visit
•Identifying and selling to indirect HQ, customer District Managers and buying groups
•Growing base sales through maximizing distribution, increasing share of shelf and ensuring Planogram integrity
•Selling creative displays to be placed at optimal locations, maximizing sales
•Selling incrementally to support ads and brand marketing activity
•Selling in Kellogg innovation and gaining proper shelf placement
•Prioritizing and determining optimal retail coverage patterns
•Communicating sales survey orders to the Account Executive
•Identify opportunities, and communicate to third party merchandising resources
•Developing trusted customer relationships by anticipating customer needs; providing solutions and guidance related to business opportunities
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Sales, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
Required:
•High school diploma or equivalent
•Intermediate technology skills such as Microsoft Office Applications, Internet, Cellular use
•Strong problem solving, influence and negotiation skills
•Demonstrated use of excellent interpersonal skills
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
•Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
•Sales experience in a CPG environment
•Proficiency working in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
•Bilingual in Spansih/English
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
This position provides participation in one of our Fleet Program options.
Ability to drive to multiple locations throughout a regular work day
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Work requires long periods of walking, standing, bending or carrying moderately heavy items (20-25 pounds) with or without reasonable accommodations
Extended work schedule which may include some night, weekend and early morning hours
The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time, work overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
